Featuring many of his best songs performed live, including Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick and Reasons To Be Cheerful.
Publicly, Ian Dury was a cheeky chappie and purveyor of saucy lyrics. Privately, he was a flawed maestro wrestling with demons and disability. In 2004 Phil Collins embarked upon his final solo tour, which he felt gave a broad overview of his 30 years in the music industry.
As one of the most respected all round entertainers of our time Phil cannot be confined to one single element of the industry. He is an accomplished singer/songwriter, producer, actor, drummer and all round musician. The common factor that binds all of these assets together is his attention to detail and quality.
The First Final Farewell Tour exemplifies all of his talents where musical excellence, pure production and all out theatrical exuberance come together to provide one of the most truly memorable live concert performances of this age.
‘And Finally…Phil Collins’ aspires to accurately represent the performance of his final tour, utilizing some of the top musicians in the UK tribute field who are all dedicated to reproduce the distinctive Collins sound.
This 11 piece band includes the “And Finally Horns” section which provides the final touch in creating that wonderful Phil Collins sound.
Fronting the show is a musician from Kettering, Pete Bultitude, who as a finalist in “Stars in your Eyes” captures Collins` distinctive vocal style as well possessing the ability and talent to play drums.
The 2 hour show captures the main highlights from the original concert, including such timeless classics as Against All Odds, One More Night, Can’t Stop Loving You, In the Air Tonight, Paradise, Easy Lover, and many more… as well as the impressive double drum solo featured at the beginning of the performance.
