Discounts

For most Mechanics promotions discounts are available to those in full-time education, over 60, J.S.A holders and those receiving Family Credit. Proof of status is required when booking. Discounts are also available for groups of 10+ and school parties. Full details available from the box office.

Conditions of sale

Tickets cannot be exchanged or money refunded. If you cannot attend for personal reasons, we will try to resell your tickets (but unsold tickets take priority). Resale cannot be guaranteed and there will be a charge of 50p per ticket for any successful resale. The management cannot be held responsible for any tickets lost or stolen. Reserved tickets that are not fully paid for at least 3 days before the event will be cancelled.

Disabled patrons

Burnley Mechanics welcomes people with disabilities.

Guide dogs are welcome and water can be provided.

A Textphone service is also available on 01282 425011.

The Fire Authorities advise that all wheelchair patrons remain in their wheelchairs throughout the performance as transferring to a regular seat is not recommended. Able bodied companions will be requested to assist should an emergency evacuation arise. If you use a wheelchair it is vitally important that you inform the Box Office at time of booking as our licensing regulations allow for only for 4 wheelchair users per event.

Babes in arms and young children

All theatre performances are not recommended for children under 3 years of age. The management reserves the right to ask parents to remove children if, in the management’s opinion, they are causing a disturbance.

Access

There is a ramp at the Manchester Road entrance and a lift (located through the car park) from the ground to first floor level for the theatre and Stage Door Bar.

Toilets

Toilets for the disabled are on both floors. A radar key operates the theatre level toilet and there are baby-changing facilities in the lower foyer.

Hard of hearing

There is an induction loop system in the main theatre: put your hearing aid on T switch. It works best in the tier using seats 20-23 on rows F-T, and in the stalls using seats 22-25 on rows C-E. The next best areas are seats 1-5 (tier and stalls) on the other side of the theatre. Seats in the centre section should not be used.

Seating at music events

At selected music events where there is a dancefloor, there may be restricted seating. If you would like a seat, please arrive early as seating will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Drinking will be allowed during some unreserved performance.

Smoking policy

Burnley Mechanics operates a non-smoking policy. Smoke free regulations apply.

Customer comments

If you have a comment about your time spent at the venue, questionnaires are available around the building or on request. You can return your forms in the white box provided at theatre level or to a member of staff.
